Dietician article suggested just walking at a regular pace for 5 mins after a meal can help regulate blood sugar. 5 min not much time and walking not much effort most days. Decided to give it a try this am and did the time on our treadmill. First day so I don’t expect much but have hopes. At my age, every little bit helps.
But, as I have become caregiver for my sweet blue-eyed girl, I have found that the best exercises actually ‘get something done.’ Housework and yardwork combined keep blood sugar below 130. And they the activity helps the mind avoid excess worrying. So, for me, the morning treadmill walk is just a good way to ‘warm up’ for what’s next.
I have an idea for a place to get exercise that would be a lot more fun and interesting than a gym, but I have no money and no business sense, knowledge, or aptitude.
