You gotta watch out for those Jays!.A flock of about 50 Pinion Jays swoop down on our humble bird feeder, and consume all the sunflower seeds in just minutes! Whoa!!!
Dangit, GoodQuestion<, you beat me to it though I was thinking more jay bar wacky. What would you use to pry a crow out of a crow bar?Jays, crows and ravens and magpies are all in the same family.
We don’t have any Jays around here- but lots in IL where I used to live. All birds are competitive but some are nicer about it than others. I just enjoy watching all the different styles (of walking, fighting, eating etc).

Jay-walkers drinking Johnny Walkers and talking dirty Jay stuff. I’m disgusted. Those crows must be homocrowbic.

Not sure—are they champagne corks? Mushrooms? Bolts?
At least it’s still a corvid bar. But it’s sure a bird of a different color.
I’ll bet they do a lot of jaywalking there. And it looks like they’re all as naked as jaybirds. (as here)
