With all that’s gone on the last 7 days, this one struck me and reminded me of the film The Zone of Interest. Of Hess and his family setting up their home and private paradise, right along the fences of Auschwitz.

Just to get away from the pollution of city lights is good, to see the Milky Way would be awesome.

I find it funny that all you doom and gloom preaching people are the ones they are getting away from

On rare stretches of older state roads, a few miles of no traffic in sight while riding my motorcycle gives me pretty much the same serenity.

It’s illusory but therapeutic,

I need that life. Life in a comic strip.

In the meantime, am living on Route 5, with all the traffic from I-91 south going between my house and my barn, 24/7. I have to let about 15 cars and semi trucks go by before I can go get the eggs. But I can still see those exact hills across the river.
