For those who come in late, these fabulous fun funnies was envisioned and executed so beautifully and brilliantly by FoXo Reardon, a true master cartoonist who told his funny tales with his awesome artwork alone, without any of his characters in BOZO ever saying a single word.

An especially excellent epitome of pictures speaking thousand words, BOZO also the most pleasant picturesque pantomime where every panel is like a photograph of a three-dimensional cartoon world of realistic-looking depths and details. Such was his powerful perspective artwork which brought to life a lovely lively world of BOZO!

FoXo a rare combination of both sharp wits and artistic talents which is rarely seen together in the same cartoonist, a true master and professional cartoonist whose work quality speaks for itself and as you can see for yourself BOZO is pure gold coming from a golden era of cartooning!

But despite being a great classic of great creative calibre, neither BOZO nor FoXo are much known or remembered these days.

Foxo Reardon’s life was devoted to making people laugh, to making people smile, to making life just a little easier for them as they went through the grind if their daily lives. He wanted to share to what degree he could that zest for life that was his, a zest that was outwardly manifested as he whistled down the halls of the newspaper building. And there is little doubt that wherever he is today, he is still whistling down the Halls.

The above words are taken from my book, “WHISTLING DOWN THE HALLS -The Times and Cartoons of America’s Original Pantomime Comic Strop Artist.” The title refers to the fact that Foxo Reardon used to whistle down the halls of the Richmond (Virginia) Times-Dispatch, to the chagrin of the late Pulitzer Prize recipient editor Douglas Southall Freeman, who considered whistling a “fire-able offense.” The 260-page book, which contains some 800 cartoons, including some 500 Bozo syndicated strips, is available online from Walmart, Books A Million, Barnes and Noble, Amazon, Bear Manon Media (its publisher) and other Internet outlets. - Michael Reardon, son of the cartoonist and producer of Bozo on GoComics.

And in strip two we see the incredibly rare “levitating pince-nez indicating surprise”. (Any cartoonist can do the “levitating hat”.)

That cute little pup makes a lot of appearances in Bozo’s life. I wonder if it lived at the Reardon residence at one point?

BABY SITTER- Either the Baby has wandered off, or Poochie is the baby. (Baby might have wandered off with Umbrella Man, hanging around outside.) HOT DOG- What was you expecting with your service? You got Mayo, Catsup, Mustard, and a Wienie? Now you want a Bun! HOMEMADE CLOTHES RACK- Just because your arrested, no needed in looking shabby! Implement some tools to keep your clothes neat and clean.

The Big Umbrella: In the 1st strip that may be him in the last panel. I dunno. Just a guess.

2nd Strip: Again he’s in the last panel under a lamp (I do believe) setting up the restaurant for a later heist.

In the last strip, sadly, there is no Umbrella Man. He set Bozo up.

What is the history of the umbrella man? Is there any meaning behind him?
