Man: Hey. Woman: Everything okay? Man: can you come to the basement? Elvis: Can we get coverage back in the basement? Burt? Lupin: Elvis, I'm live in the basement, where- Elvis: No, you're not. Stop it! You were just clinging to the side of my face- Lupin: And now I'm clinging to the side of the dryer... I'm a professional. Man: Found my lost pen! Woman: Yay-! Man: And this dead cat. Woman: Oh, how terrible. Man: Some mice got into the walls and messed with the wiring. Had my pen too. Man: The mice got away, but when I was following their trail, I found this poor cat. Man: I think there was an accident. Man: The bad news: an older beam caved in on it. I think when this part of the house was added on. Man: The good news: it was instant. Looks like this little cat never knew what hit it. Tillie: Whatcha looking at there, crackerjack? Puck: NOTHING! Everything's just aces, lumberjack!
Oh dear, I send this comic to a soft-hearted cat lover each time a new strip comes out. When Tillie first appeared, my friend worried about something sad happening. I assured her that Ms. Dunn would never write a sad story and that I was sure Tillie and her loved ones lived peacefully to a ripe old age. But I’m going to have to skip sending my friend the rest of this story arc and hope she doesn’t ask about it.
Don’t misunderstand! I, a great cat lover, am enjoying the story. I think it is sweet.
