I love the little Freddie & Tillie portrait Easter Egg! And I can see why Puck couldn’t resist – not just a box in a sunspot, but a box full of textiles in a sunspot! I just hope that little trunk didn’t latch automatically upon closing — poor Puck!

OH MY CAT indeed!! Poor Pucky! The bliss of his ultimate nap has been poisoned by a treacherous trunk lid! Will the ghost mouse help him?? Oh the felinity!

Those stars on the trunk – are they Jewish, or from Chicago, or is that just how Georgia wanted to draw them?

“OK.. crazy, probably catnip-influenced group of cats with high-dollar credit cards being worked up by attractive dancers. What’s wrong with this picture?” “Should I start with the phrase ‘cats with high-dollar credit cards’?” “No, seriously,Kitten- we’re looking at high-level manipulation here. These felines are just a few steps above your average housecat. We run a business- I’ll bet over half of these cats don’t have a way to pay for what’s being charged right now.” Tre-C did not know why this would be an issue; “What’s the worst that could happen? These may be “elevated” cats- like me or Mom- but they’re still cats. What’s the Credit Card company going to do- repossess their squeaky toys?” “Think about it, Tre-C.” Megan’s voice was stern and cold… and just a bit angry. “Picture a finance agent going to the address on file after several months. He asks to speak with, say, ‘Fluffy’ Jones because his company hasn’t been able to reach her. What’s the cat’s person going to say? “Well, the only ‘Fluffy’ here is my cat.”

Okay. So Pucky is in the trunk in the attic and no one knows he is up there.

But Pucky is resourceful. I think he will get out somehow… maybe… perhaps….

Yesterday, Gloria Fleming wondered if that was a notebook in the lid of the trunk. Today, we can clearly see that it is a picture.

He’s got his backpack and his walking stick. Who knows what else is in his pack. He can “CatGyver” this.

Magical Puck caught by the Attic Mice!

Love the Attic Mouse reaction in panel #2 as it looks at Puck. “What is THAT?”

Yes, the Ultimate Nap, in its darkest sense! But the mouse is on the case! I can’t wait to see who she summons for help! Love the little exclamation over her head when she sees what Puck is about to do.

I didn’t know this was going to be a horror story! Poor Puck. I’d be freaking. And I think there will be other people freaking out, too. The only thing that alleviates some of the pain now is that I know the storyteller will have a good ending.

Oh my cat! I know this is an old recording and Puck makes it out fine but he could so easily have ended up like poor (spoiler alert but it won’t be on gocomics, you have to go to the archive to read it) Tillie.

For those reading on phones, yes the photo is the same photo from the 2015 Halloween special. I am on a large tablet and still had to magnify so I can imagine how frustrating a phone must be for the tiny detail.

Trunk covered with stars. What kind of trunk would be so decorated? We wonders, yes we wonders.

Good morning and happy Thursday/Purrsday, orbsters and orbabies. Oh my Cat, Puck, what sort of a mess have you gotten yourself into? I see the wee mousie running off, I hope it is running for help.

As for Pam, I have no further news other than the fact she is on comfort care as of the time I went to bed last night. I have asked for an update, and will keep you apprised. Let’s project loving hugs, bumps and boops to help ease her way.

Puck is now the ceiling cat above the other ceiling cats. Will Sir Fig hear his new buddy calling for help from above? Will Elvis and Lupin find the note and start a search? Stay tuned. This is a real nail biter!

Tillie and Freddie will come to the rescue! I’ve always loved the original Halloween Special and I’m sure we’ll be shedding happy tears over this arc as well. Prayers for those affected by Hurricane Michael.

Oh buttons!!! 0_0 I have so many feels right now, and not all of them are good… I know all will be well, but still… * wimper * Thank goodness our new little ghost mouse friend is dashing off to find help (fingers crossed). Okay, focusing… The picture of Freddie and Tillie in the box is so touching (and at least it will give Puck something to look at while he’s stuck). Is that an old wedding dress that Pucky just jumped in on? If it is, maybe Puck can still get a little nap in while waiting for rescue.

Love the lace detail on the linens in the trunk. Georgia doesn’t miss anything.

I think Golden mouse will go tell Agnes and friends that Puck is stuck in the box in the attic and they will either rescue him or they’ll let Elvis and Lupin know.

So much drama! Poor Pucky! Georgia always gives us so much detail and clues in her drawings. The mouse noticing that puck was about to jump in the trunk and the ‘!’. Could be concern, could also be the realization there is an opportunity! Then the dots as the Mouse runs away indicating it had moved behind the trunk. That’s the detail that makes me question what that ghost mouse is up to. The golden mouse is the protector of all mice, and may not know that Pucky is a friendly cat (Correction, an extrememly friendly cat. I would say the friendliest of cats, but then there is Tommy…) However, we know the golden mouse is friendly with Tilly from the Owl and the Pussycat story so…….

It’s good that we know Pucky will be okay in the long run so we can look forward to this story unfolding. Her twists have fooled me almost every time, so I’m excited!

The final CAMERA ONE shot in the ‘15 Halloween Special. That always nails me—Georgia’s art and storytelling are SO very good. She portrays joy better than almost anyone else.

It’s with a heavy heart that I have to say that Pam (ppyfss) passed a little while ago. All I can think of is a quote from Watership Down: “My heart has joined the Thousand, for my friend stopped running today.”

That reminds me of the time my cats played a life-size game of Mousetrap. They were tearing around the house and ran past a chair that had an empty laundry basket on it. One of them bumped the chair causing the basket to tip over and fall right on him, trapping him under it!

Fortunately, I was there to let him out.

Panel 3 reminds me of a dialogue from “The Simpsons” …

Homer: "All TV and no beer make Homer go crazy. All TV and no beer make Homer go crazy. All TV and no beer make Homer … " [pause]

Marge [sighs]: “Go crazy?”

Homer: “Don’t mind if I do!”

This happened to our scotty-dog. The laundry chest was open, in he hopped, lid closed and he never made a peep! Took me about an hour to frantically find him when I noticed the lid was down…:-o
