And this is why I relate so well to Puck. Sometimes I feel like everything goes wrong and I can’t do anything right!

Oh, Puck! We’ve all had one of those days. Put on your best, “I meant to do that” face and walk away with your tail held high!

Oh, Puck. Oh, sweet boy. We understand. It’s OK. Cut over to Tommy real quick and just let that big guy be cheerful on camera for a while! Oh, this strip touches my heart – and the bits of my brain where all the crappy anxiety stuff lives.

“In today’s news, cats knock things off tables” is a perfectly valid headline, though.

Those little worried fangs…! And the concerned eyebrows! Love the “dig, dig, dig” of a cat instinctively trying to cover something up.

Days like this are when I just put everything away before even more horrendous things happen. Then I go read a book or take a nap where I can do no more harm.

It’s okay, Puck, we all make mistakes. It’s part of what makes us human.

Poor Puck is nor having a good day.

I don’t see Dan Rather having this sort of problem.

Quick, someone turn off the power!

Cats can’t be on the table.

Love Puck trying to ‘cover’ his spilled tea by pawing at the desk top. (My late ginger floof used to alert me to the occasional ‘hanger on’ that would cling to his butt and then drop off by pawing around it in a futile attempt to bury it on the hardwood floor.)

Puck’s career as an anchor is doomed.

What is Tommy doing with that ball of wool? Is it part of the story that Elvis was going to present? And where is Lupin?

Pucky, my boy, when you do it right, no-one notices. You deserve to be noticed, handsome.

Oh does this feel like a recent day at work for me. Once things start to go wrong, they just keep going. We’ve all been there, Puck.

oh cups of coffee everywhere… What’s the worst you’ve done? I once searched for my cup from the previous day, and found it on top of the PDP-11/34. I reached up and grabbed it, and as I pulled it down it showered coffee all over me. Fortunately not on the computer, although a bit on the printer which I wiped clean…

I’ve never been able to decide if black cats generally tend to have more prominent fangs, or whether it’s simply that their fangs stand out more visibly against the black features.

I think we all have been given jobs without enough explanation, training or preparation. One thing after another go wrong. And Pucky is right…It becomes a WHOLE THING!

On the home front, my grandson is very discouraged.

Poor Puck – he’s having the day I had yesterday. During the course of one batch of melt and pour soap I managed to break a Pyrex measuring cup and chip one handle off my crock pot liner. The liner is still fine, but those things are hard enough to handle with both handles. Hoping for both of us that things get better.

Poor Pucky! Everybody has days like this — just not usually on the air!

It should be easier for Puck to do the news at Lupin’s desk. Lupin always has a teleprompter after all. Puck doesn’t even need those pesky papers in his paws. I do understand not being comfortable by being in unfamiliar territory though Puck. Good luck with the newscast.

Puck, thy name is adorable. You can’t help it when a whole thing happens. It happens to the best of cats and humans.

It’s probably best that Puck ISN’T presenting to an award winner on tonight’s upcoming show! I think that annual show has had enough gaffes and such already! :) [BTW – Puck is precious!]

@Sue Ellen just now saw your response from yesterday, and the ep you were trying to think of was Monkee Vs Machine. The exchange is from Peter trying to get a job at a toy factory, but he’s being interviewed by a computer.

this strip was way too timely… i just had to get my 2nd keyboard replaced at my office from spilling coffee all over it. this time, i was bringing some coffees back for my coworkers, made it all the way to my desk (from the coffee store, i walked out of the store, out onto the street, signed into my building, made it up the elevator and through my office doors!), then spilled one all over my keyboard.last time, i spilled a glass of water but wiped it up and thought it’d be fine. our tech support guy came over when i asked why my keyboard was acting all funky, he turned it upside down and a cup of water must have spilled out of it. oops!

Poor Puck, so flustered at an attack of the clumsies. Whatever is a sensitive “Good Boy” to do?

Ot this reminds me of a memory of when I was 2 (I don’t remember some details.), I was on the counter when I pushed one of my parents coffee cups off the counter lol.
