For those who may not go back and read the previous day’s comments and might have missed it, Robert’s (rs0204) cat Giblet, of the “Giblet and Belle” stories unexpectedly crossed the Rainbow Bridge yesterday. His comment is the featured comment if you want to express your condolences or support.

I think it’s okay, if difficult, to “like” a such a comment. I think everyone knows that doing so is an expression of support and not of enjoyment or approval of the news in it.

I’m not big on zombies, but I do like rabbits. I’m very conflicted right now.

I missed your comment yesterday. I offer my sympathies. You will meet Giblet in another life.

The rabbits remind me of the Grinch out of Dr Zeuss being all green with the red eyes. That being said, I feel bad for the poor bunnies, being subjected to unethical treatment that make them look like zombies or from a Zeuss nightmare. I hope the mice somehow free them and make everything better for all.

We’ve had buns! Three right now, Sir Gregor who is a Flemish Giant, Penny who is…I don’t know but was rescued from a barn fire and was badly burned (she was a breeder bun) weighs about a pound and defends 12 pound Sir Gregor and anyone who comes near with her life, and a rescue who is still settling in and who Penny constantly perceives as a threat right now. This whole animal testing thing just hurts my heart because it’s so stupid! They’re not like us and it’s so wrong.

I’m sure it’s supposed to be “zombie”, although it’s difficult to imagine the motive for highly expensive animal experiments to that purpose. I think we are dealing with what is called an “unreliable narrator”, where facts may be changed to fit the purposes of the narrative. Of course, it could just be that “zombie” is easier to spell than “myxomatosis”. :)

You wouldn’t think humans would be stupid enough to make zombies, but stupid wins every time.

The only time I ever had a red eyed green bunny was when the New Zealand bunnies were given a pile of fresh grass clippings. They had great fun burrowing in it.
