I smell a dragon hoard.

About 50 years ago I first ran into D&D, joined a group, and played a handful of times. Years later I met my wife who had been in a group. To this day there is a box of carefully painted figures, that were her characters, in a drawer. Every time I think the game has disapeared I find a new generation has taken up the torch. Both my sons have played over the years, and my daughter in law is currently in a group. Some where along the way a small fortune in books (given to players who will enjoy them) and metal figures was collected, those are stored away probably for a future campaign. My grandson’s ?

Oh my cat! That’s a lot of treasure! When I play DnD it’s our third meet up and I get like one coin

…yeah, I know we don’t have the budget for an actual dragon. That’s why I substituted a bearded dragon. No one will notice the difference!

OT: AWSUM News!

The design of Violet in the top corner of the last panel weaving the scene is absolutely gorgeous. Luckily Skeptical Elvis is the wizard, he should absolutely cast a spell to make sure the yarn balls don’t turn into goblins or something.

This story line has reminded of the texted base adventure games I used play back in the day. They weren’t really much like D&D, but it is the story telling and responses that are making me think of them. There would be something like “You are in a room with a door” they you would like in “go through door”.

The only thing worse than playing Dungeons and Dragons is Fantasy sports. The D&D players at least know it is a fantasy world where they are just having fun and using their imagination.

The Fantasy sports fanatics on the other hand think it actually matters.
