So that whole third section has been standing there unused for who knows how many years and nobody ever wondered what was behind those windows? According to the photos in the Halloween Story, the new addition is located Pucky’s pointer is located was the addition. And no, it’s not the difference between the front and the back. One side has a door and the other doesn’t.
Maybe there’s a hidden room in between the main house and the addition. The door on this side may not be the door on the other side that Tommy’s Woman knows about – only a very similar one. Has anyone measured the floors on both sides, and done the math?
Sooo, when Winnifred “walled it up,” she only walled it off from the rest of the house. It is not walled off from the outside world, since the addition is used for the offices of the Trust and the Shelter.
I know that a designation of protected/historic landmark status operates differently from state to state… but could such be a way to preserve the house as is?
“Were there snacks?” LOL! Good thing I didn’t have my coffee in my hands. I’ve been caught coffee handed too many times reading this strip. Come on though, Georgia! The suspense is killing me here!
I love Pucky’s priorities!I have a feeling I know why Freddie didn’t like the addition. Dang it. It is 05:32, it is too early to be this deep in the feels.
I got good news on my housing situation. The owner sold the condo to someone who wants to keep renting the place to me, without even increasing the rent by all that much!
The deal is not yet finalized, so it could still fall through. But assuming nothing happens, I’ll be okay. Thank you to everyone for the good wishes while I was going through this.
Georgia has officially dragged this out almost a week without actually opening the door. Her tricks will not convince me. When they open the door, they will find two mice and something that nobody ever suspected in the addition. The detail that Freddie herself walled it off is so intriguing, so I suppose I will remain at the edge of my seat for another day.
Will the door lead to a secret room where wayward animals destined to be put down are able take shelter and avoid their fate? Will there be a hidden fortune that will save the Pink House from being sold? Will the woman become a crazy cat lady when the boy and girl grow up and move away? Will Dr. Man admits that he and Winnifred Quinn once were secret lovers and that the Woman is the illicit result of their past love affair? Will Puck finally get some snacks???
Tune in on Monday for the answer to these and other mysterious questions on As The Litter Box Turns.
Someone may have mentioned this already and, if so, I’m sorry to repeat, but when Puck went up the dumbwaiter in the 2018 Halloween special he ended up in the attic to the addition. In the drawings, the addition’s attic window is round and the old part of the house’s turret attic window is a vertical oval. I need to go back and find Georgia’s drawing showing the back of the house to figure out how that works for the dumbwaiter path. So, the ghosts “live” in the addition?
Bet I know why Freddie didn’t like the new addition. Could it have something to do with the sudden disapperance of her beloved Tillie? They found each oter much later, but the new addition did tear the two apart. Curiosity literally….. Well you know that old saying and sadly it’s true in poor Tillie’s case. But Tillie is such a delightful ghost now.
Reminds me of a law office that was in a converted Victorian that had been a vet’s office and was falling in before they bought it. They’ve since vacated and some developer bought the three houses remaining in that part of town. I suspect they’re going to link them together and convert to apartments, and real estate is crazy expensive in Asheville.

Freddie didn’t like the addition? Could it be because of . . . Tillie? [rushes to read the first Halloween saga again]

And, of course, Puck raises the most important question about any meeting!

Winnifred didn’t like the addition because it meant she’d have to carry things…

O.T. – John update. So we’re not sure what it was/is, but the pain seems to be going away on its own. Thanks for all of your prayers and support!!

Puck is very grounded. He asks the fundamental question of any meeting.

Meanwhile, Back on the Nile
Burt-Ra: So you would like to know if you can borrow Wally to help Iron Glove with his Comfy Chair prototypes.
Beatrixia: Yes, if that’s alright. I know this is your slow time of year for projects.
Burt: That’s true. I suppose I can spare one of my crew, as long as it’s all right with Wally.
Wally: That’s fine. I’d like to meet Iron Glove.
Maat-Tilda: He and Adobe Style are coming here from Afar today.
Sometime Later
Wally: Hello, Iron Glove. I’m Awhil Fixit the Seventh, but you can call me Wally. I’ll be helping you with your prototype Comfy Chairs.
Iron Glove: Wonderful! I can’t wait to get started! Who’s gonna be writing down the specs?
Wally: That would be Elvis-Anum our scribe. I’ll take you to meet him right now.
A Little Later
Iron Glove: Hi, Elvis! I’m Iron Glove! Pleased to meet you!
Elvis: Poof!
Iron Glove: Does he always poof like that?
Wally: Sometimes, when he’s startled.
Iron Glove: I’m glad Louie-Nour isn’t here then!

I think the BCN Team needs to do an exploration of the Addition for any possible news stories…and snacks.
