So that whole third section has been standing there unused for who knows how many years and nobody ever wondered what was behind those windows? According to the photos in the Halloween Story, the new addition is located Pucky’s pointer is located was the addition. And no, it’s not the difference between the front and the back. One side has a door and the other doesn’t.

Maybe there’s a hidden room in between the main house and the addition. The door on this side may not be the door on the other side that Tommy’s Woman knows about – only a very similar one. Has anyone measured the floors on both sides, and done the math?

That addition fills me with a sense of grim foreboding.

Sooo, when Winnifred “walled it up,” she only walled it off from the rest of the house. It is not walled off from the outside world, since the addition is used for the offices of the Trust and the Shelter.

I love Pucky’s priorities!I have a feeling I know why Freddie didn’t like the addition. Dang it. It is 05:32, it is too early to be this deep in the feels.

I got good news on my housing situation. The owner sold the condo to someone who wants to keep renting the place to me, without even increasing the rent by all that much!

The deal is not yet finalized, so it could still fall through. But assuming nothing happens, I’ll be okay. Thank you to everyone for the good wishes while I was going through this.

I think the BCN Team needs to do an exploration of the Addition for any possible news stories…and snacks.

Let’s get back to the important question at hand, “were there snacks?”

More and more mysterious!

Georgia has officially dragged this out almost a week without actually opening the door. Her tricks will not convince me. When they open the door, they will find two mice and something that nobody ever suspected in the addition. The detail that Freddie herself walled it off is so intriguing, so I suppose I will remain at the edge of my seat for another day.

I’m assuming “thought better of it” wasn’t the reason. :)

I’m confused. I think I’ll just let this all play out without overthinking on my part. I trust Georgia will show the way.

Someone may have mentioned this already and, if so, I’m sorry to repeat, but when Puck went up the dumbwaiter in the 2018 Halloween special he ended up in the attic to the addition. In the drawings, the addition’s attic window is round and the old part of the house’s turret attic window is a vertical oval. I need to go back and find Georgia’s drawing showing the back of the house to figure out how that works for the dumbwaiter path. So, the ghosts “live” in the addition?

Bet I know why Freddie didn’t like the new addition. Could it have something to do with the sudden disapperance of her beloved Tillie? They found each oter much later, but the new addition did tear the two apart. Curiosity literally….. Well you know that old saying and sadly it’s true in poor Tillie’s case. But Tillie is such a delightful ghost now.

Reminds me of a law office that was in a converted Victorian that had been a vet’s office and was falling in before they bought it. They’ve since vacated and some developer bought the three houses remaining in that part of town. I suspect they’re going to link them together and convert to apartments, and real estate is crazy expensive in Asheville.
