Grass is greening up and all the spring flowers are in bloom at the same time. It has been a weird spring but absolutely gorgeous as everything is blooming at the same time.
A Wild Lands critter is out there! Looks like a marmot or a groundhog. My mother loved them. Used to put peanut butter sandwiches between two planter saucers. They would take the top saucer off and eat the sandwich in the bottom one.
Somehow I got disoriented. The window does face the front yard, excellent vantage point to see the mail carrier. I wonder if any of The Families subscribe to Chewy or similar pet supply delivery services.
Georgia posted real life pictures of Lupin on a fluffy white pillow that looks exactly like the last two panels today. Looks like all that fluff is not all Lupin.
When I was buying our current house the real estate agent the lovely bay window in the living room as a perfect spot for plants. I told her I have three cats, that will be the perfect place for cat beds – entertainment and sun patches!
Goldie could be a realtor! She is certainly selling this well, while casually letting Lupin know he’s not actually invisible. I assume the brown shape in panel 2 is a raccoon, but I can’t help thinking of Tommy. “There’s a cat in the front yard and he won’t go way, because HE LIVES HERE!”
Comment from Georgia that I posted late yesterday so I’m reposting earlier today: “Getting Tommy and Sophie into the Big Pink House is the number one reason I wrote the storyline about the People coming together to buy the BPH. From early on in the comic, I regretted not getting Tommy into that first floor apartment! As time went on, it felt like a missed opportunity. I’m happy that Tommy and Sophie are finally in the BPH, and have a lot planned for future storylines! That said, giving the People a few new rooms offered me a chance to incorporate some favorite cat hang outs from our own house. In real life, we moved from the apartment in the Big Pink House in Rhode Island to a sunny apartment in California, and then a sweet apartment in Washington, shaded by tall Douglas firs. All for the Man’s work as we criss-crossed the country in search of a full-time gig in his field. Longtime readers remember our adventures in corporate housing with Lupin, and the cats settling into new apartments with new rooms and windows to explore! Choosing to keep the BPH the setting of the comic brought me a lot of fictional peace during the upheaval of moving so much. (Twice in 2016, alone! To CA and then to WA eight months later! WHEW!)Five years ago we finally bought our real life house. Retroactively I added our fireplace to the apartment in the comic, but there was no room to work in the cats’ new favorite spot—the window seat! They loved the new window seat so much, I created a second one with pillows and a sturdy bookcase in my studio. Lupin loved the window seats, and especially adored napping on the white fluffy pillow upstairs and the white fluffy blanket downstairs. And so, here are a few photos to celebrate the real life window seat! I’ve got a lot of window seat related headlines stored up from the past five years. I can’t wait to start sharing them with you!”
Just like our two window seats, facing the front yard with the morning sun streaming in through the windows. It is so easy to find the critters in the morning. The two felines are each in their window seat watching the world basking in the sun and the two canines are taking their morning naps in their dog beds in our bedroom. Later when the sun no longer streams through the front windows the cats will begin their explorations and the dogs will feel the need to supervise.
Usually around 11:00 a.m. or so the daily schedule begins.
I may have to go into the archives to find that set of posts. Not interested in trying to remember what I typed concerning Lupin’s streaking. Would rather just copy, paste, and repost it.

Puck may still have mixed emotions about the window. Just one more location for him to save everyone from the leaves come autumn.

Elvis will love the window seat. He can sit there, look out over the world, and disapprove of it. Until the fluffy pillow pounces on him.

At the Very Good Pyramid Library
Puckmosis: The Artisans have done a great job with these cushions. I’m not gonna want to leave.
Ora Z: Are you sure we can’t eat them?
Puck: Not after they worked so hard on them. How about we get muffins from the café?
Ora Z: Alright. Do you think I could bake some pastry, too?
Puck: I know you made some for Thomios, and his Uncle Floof. Maybe we can find a scroll while we’re here.
Beatrixia: I have just the thing. Just look in the 641.5s for cooking.
Ora Z: Are there some famous recipes?
Bea: I suggest you start with Floofnet’s Famous Recipes for Beginners. Then you can get move up to more complicated recipes.
Puck: Did the Library at Meowaxendria have any famous cooking scrolls?
Bea: Hopefully we can find out some day.
Ora Z: Can we go exploring?
