Burt, it’s not easy being green

Oh beloved Tommy. I can so see him doing an Elton John thing. What a fluffy angel! Love the frog, but Ora Z is on the loose!

I love that Beatrix doodles while taking meeting minutes.♥

I think Beatrix is getting bored. Her doodles are getting more elaborate and in color, too!

Burt brings the discipline. The crew bring the general hissing. Much like every meeting I’ve had to sit through. Meetings are now B.Y.O.M.

Burt’s there too! And someone leash that kitten!

At least that rainbow did not end up on the wall:)

So the point of the meeting was to agree to a one month styrofoam cup ban?

What a coincidence. Just yesterday I made a comment at TinyKittens about mama Scotia’s new kitten #2, saying it looked like it was wearing Elton John glasses!

Tommy can rock the Elton John look well.

Ora’s hiding, I’d guess.

Beatrix drew that frog? That’s much better than I could do, and I have opposable thumbs!

The Elton John glasses made me laugh a bit. And general hissing makes me picture them all hissing in purrfect synchronization.

“General hissing” made me LOL.

Styrofoam cups are banned in India now! We get those paper cups now!

I remember the meeting began

Beatrix started the weekly plan

Introducing our new best friends

And it looked like the chaos would never end!

But the biggest thing that happened there,

Ora Z really had a flair,

Chanting that she was the news

With intensity experienced by quite a few!

Well weekly meetings and the time is fleeting,

And some kitties can’t sit still!

We never really get much done and I guess we never will!

Sometimes we liven things up with artwork from a styrofoam cup

Those meetings, who knows what will ensue!

The time went by, Elvis stapled his tie,

Lupin made some mischief, well at least he tried

Elvis and Tabitha made motions, they dared,

And I made Elton John glasses with such a flair!

But the business part was over, I see,

Burt confiscated the cups for Bea,

And now who is missing, it’s Ora Z!

……..

Yes, I joined in the round of applause for Tommy and his cup glasses! Do we know who is making the additions to the notes? Does Beatrix just have many different colored pens and a short attention span, or is someone (my bet is Sophie or Iggy) “helping” her?

I can’t stand Styrofoam. The feel, Sound. Ugh.

Sophie, is that you embellishing Beatrix’s notes? I sense your artistic flair in the frog and rainbow.

Like I said, meetings are lost time. No styrofoam round here no more.

Why styrofoam at all? All of the cats have their own mugs, don’t they?

If they don’t have styrofoam cups to turn into Elton John glasses, maybe someone (cough Lupin cough) can find some pineapple rings…

Tomny is an good boy! He deserves to be allowed Elton Johns Sunglasses!

I think that getting Ora Zella to sit still for any span of time that can be measured in units longer than milliseconds will require industrial-strength adhesives.

A message from Georgia: “My mom was on the town council when I was growing up, and I always enjoyed when the meeting minutes would be read. I’m grateful to everyone who has been enjoying these Breaking Cat News meeting minutes! If you miss the artwork—me, too! Know that “the meeting notes” was only a temporary, fun solution for when my hand was out of commission a couple of weeks back, before we jump into reruns for a short spell. I felt like it might be fun to see what would Beatrix’s meeting notes look like (and Sophie’s to come!) and what would a station meeting be like… I appreciate all of the kindness and encouraging messages that folks have been sending me for my hand. Thank you! It seems to be healing up well, though a little bit more slowly than I would like. I am rather impatient to get back to drawing, lol! The Man has been a tremendous help to me during this time, and I am very grateful to him and to the kids to and all of you! Please forgive any typos in this, as I am using speech to text while my hand recovers. There may indeed be a storyline coming up soon where the woman injures her hand, because a lot of funny moments and good content are coming out of this (silver linings, lol!) Tune in tomorrow, when we finally see a page from Sophie’s notebook”

Ora Zella is missing HIDE the matches!

Paper cups would have been better.

So…do we have two sets of annotations here? I feel like Ora Zella may have drawn the frog and Beatrix (in blue) is responding to this discovery.

Wasn’t someone assigned to watch Ora Zella? If not, now would be a good time.

I couldn’t quite think of what Elton John’s glasses looked like, so I googled him, noted that he was wearing a different pair in each of the suggested photos, clicked on his Wikipedia page, and now I have open the Wikipedia pages for Guam, the geographical centre of the US, and the Spanish-American War.
