Elvis is in NOPE mode today. First he NOPES Ora Z’s flying apocalypse, then he NOPES the girl’s flying MOMMA! He is a force of nature!

Poor Elvis. He has to choose between his woman and his girl.

Elvis has his hands full. Bet the Girl gets through his defense.

Best medicine is soup, tea, and a tortie, preferably not all in the same lap?

The Girl has been learning, I see!

Ora and The Girl are ready for the diving competition,

I suspect there’s a synergy developing between OZ & the Girl… Be afraid – be very afraid.

Elvis is in his element. I remember another time he was caring for the woman and he asked the man for his ID.

Can’t wait to see Elvis tuck the Girl under his arm like that. :D

OZ’s sleeves are green so she can’t be the one who offered Puck the glass Tuesday. It seems Elvis is the only one it could have been.

If Puck has recovered from his reaction to medical detail, he might be able to help Elvis to protect The Woman. Otherwise his attempts are doomed.

Consensus seems to be that the flying individual is the Girl, but isn’t she rather large? Could it not be the Intruder?

Even when Elvis has to raise his voice to the Girl, he’s still polite. Defend her, Elvis, lest the visitors spill the Woman’s repast of tea and soup all over her. That would not be good for her paw or any other part of her.

Lupinium: That was a great Theraputic Thwump session, you’ve all done very well. Now I have a special guest. Elvis-Anum will show you some special Dancing Corsair moves. Elvis?

Elvis-Anum: Thank you, Lupinium. We’ll start with some basic stretching and movement.

Lupinium: That was great, Elvis. Do you think you could come back next week with more moves?

Elvis: Probably. But I think we’re going to need someone a bit, uh more vigorous to do the advanced moves.

Lupinium: Someone a bit younger?

Elvis: What’s that got to do with anything?

Lupinium: Nothing. But I think I know of someone who might fit the bill.

Iggy: Sure. I’d be glad to come out and teach a class from time to time. Maybe Ora Z can get some music together for it.

Elvis: Nothing like a bit of chaos to get one on the track of good health.

Looks like Elvis is going to get squashed.

OT: Smudge came home. I closed the door for the night and he was very upset. He tried to get out through the door screen and pulled the curtain down and got a thorough scolding. Right now, he’s in and out, requesting lots of love and cuddles and noms.

I still have no clue where the kittens are other than somewhere in the chaos of my closet floor.

Well. Once again a lost orange kitten has turned up at work.

My coworker A. found her in the parking lot this morning, huddled under a pipe and shaking. No sign of mama. A. came to get me, and so I’m doing what I can for the kitten, which is basically keep her warm and get her to the shelter as soon as it opens for the day. I don’t have anything to feed her, and I don’t have my kitten kit with me, although maybe I should be keeping it here! She’s tucked inside my shirt so she has body warmth and a heartbeat to be close to. Very quiet, with just a few squeaks when I turned her over to check. Maybe three weeks old? Her eyes are open and she’s starting to get floofiness.

Last night I went out on my patio to enjoy the last cigarette of the day. I was attacked by Jewels!!!

Ah, yes. “Dziadziu, come with me to my room!” as The Girl grabbed my still-bandaged hand last year …

I will freely admit that we continued boarding our beasties until my sternum was completely healed. Akiro stayed with my friend The Good Doctor and Bella boarded with the vet where she goes to Doggy Daycare. Having a very large house panther Bounce off my chest really wasn’t something I wanted to experience after open heart surgery … and you’d better believe I kept that big “heart pillow” handy for quite a while afterwards, too. Our Akiro could give Lupin lessons in THWUMPING.

Obviously what the Woman needs are high-impact healing hugs!

Feline medicine is the best medicine.

I love how Elvis has that little handful, O.Z tucked under his arm, she’s tiny but mighty.

Last night was the first time I went to bed with a CPAP machine. My cat Gene left me alone the whole time it was running. However, I took it off about four hours later. As soon as I did, he settled on my chest.

Kittens are hard to manage.

Elvis is guarding the woman, of course he is. I love it when he catches Ora Zella mid-air, it’s so cute. And that the girl comes flying in a similar position is hilarious!
