Hi everyone…Well for the second time this month I wanted to touch base with all of you… you were so kind with notes after our Gladdie passed a few weeks ago, and last night, after a short illness our little princess, Middie, passed over the ’ Rainbow Bridge’… I am just heart broken…she was as sweet as sweet could be and had been my sleeping partner for years… A little black cat with a huge purr who absolutely liked everyone…from people to other and even got along with the outside raccoons through our screen door
I know losing a pet is part of the fate of those who love all animals… but the last few weeks have been so hard….Middie was one of multiple litters we rescued around our home in the last few years… During that time we rescued 34 cats and kittens…had all of them fixed, got them all their first set of shots and tested and gave ‘money back guarantees’ to those we placed in forever homes… We were able to place 29 of the 34 moms and kittens…( only one adult male) In our home we have seven now…and four outside girls who were to feral to find inside homes .. Our outdoor kitties rarely can be touched, but they give us so much enjoyment too….all of them have their own heated ‘kitty houses’ in the winter and everyone indoor or out gets two healthy meals a day…and treats and toys.
Middie was the kitty who got along with everyone… inside and out…and often talked and chirped when she saw something different… She was the first to remind me it was dinner time…or breakfast time…or treat time…but she always let her younger siblings eat first…. She had the most gorgeous green eyes, perfect black coat…and I truly will miss her so much. I hope someday when it’s my turn to cross the ‘Rainbow Bridge’ Middie, Gladdie, Knew, Yoda, Pirate, T-2, Gracie, Emily, Ester, and the rest of my furry family in heaven will come to find me … God Bless you all…. Thanks for letting me vent…Hug your kitties for me…k
