Poor Pucky Bear is about to go Psycho-Cat on the Woman. As for Kale, one cannot properly describe, nor discuss it, without exactly that sort of language! LOL
I was shopping for wet catfood today and came across a brand that was twice the price for half as much so I got a couple of packs as a “treat”. Taking bets now that she refuses to even look at it.
I feed Pingpong canned food because she’s old and has tummy trouble when she eats only dry food. I buy her the kind that has small chunks of real meat (usually Friskies Filets). Her fur has gotten plush since I started doing that. She’s still awfully skinny though.
Churu’s have been an expensive habit but both love them, I give Roy two a day, and Poodle gets one if she’s been a “good girl” and come see me for help, and made in the right place.
I read that as “Puke! We’re live.” at first. Poor kitties.
The two boy ferals were out at the early morning feeding today. Nessie, the girl, was nowhere to be seen. I’m hoping she is just living up to her namesake. It is cold here, poor babies.
The panther lets out a fierce roar, shattering the calm that was the jungle this morning. After finding no prey to feed upon, he is determined to find game worthy of his skills.
The panther trolls the Acai Palm (Euterpe oleracea) near his lair. This majestic canopy tree, towers over the river. The sweet berries are prize for all variety of birds, monkeys, and occasionally deer or other game fit for our panther’s meal. No luck, there are scant berries offered now.
The panther thinks, I will venture all the way up the Iratapuru River Reserve and find the angelim vermelho (Dinizia excelsa) , tallest tree in the amazon. Surely from there, I can find substance and sustenance. The panther knows that humans have spread over his once pristine home and have tainted every corner of the Rain Forest.
I’m definitely not a big veggie fan, but I don’t understand the hostility to kale. Fried kale chips are good. Kale is certainly more tasty than lettuce.
Woman, surely you have noticed that last night’s food is partly untouched, with the rest smeared in various places, including the ceiling, thanks to Lupin? That should give you a clue.
OFF TOPIC: I think there’s something wrong with Buddha. I know it’s a bit chilly, but I haven’t seen him for 3 days. He’s either shedding, hibernating, or dead. I don’t know how I’ll break this to Sean.
We had this drama when one of our cats was diagnosed with kidney disease. Took forever to get our (now late) Puck to concede he had to eat the special kidney goop now. When Junko was diagnosed as diabetic she was much happier eating her m/d than Puck his k/d. In fact, we have to separate Junie or the other cats will eat her food instead of their own.
Well I never. What is the world coming to when you find such filthy language being used in the comics these days. There are children that read this comic or have it read to them. To think that they must be exposed to the obscene rantings of a cat all in the name of humor. And over a new food no less.
Lord knows it is hard enough to get children to try new foods without having this to bolster their own indignation when a parent insists that they try something new. Will the author be okay with their child using some expletive, that vulgarly refers to the act of copulation, when they refuse?
This certainly wouldn’t have happened back when I was a young, impressionable child growing up in Nebraska. One would take care to mind their language so as to not say things like that in front of women and children.
Someone should call Child Protective Services to conduct a check on the welfare of the authors children, being raised in such an atmosphere that apparently is all too ripe with such vulgarity. It makes one wonder what other things go on in that home. Boozing, perhaps, men in and out at all hours of the night, wild parties. The thought is quite shameful.

I love this strip but the erroneous uninked puffy tail in panel 2 continues to bug me. Unless that’s supposed to be Lupin fleeing the scene.

The Woman’s usually attuned to the cats. I’m surprised that she’s ignoring their reactions to the new food; is she planning to wait them out?

Love the glimpse of Lupin’s handkerchief.

We are the hollow cats
We are not stuffed cats
Leaning together
Headpiece filled with rage. Alas!
Our sharp voices, when
We grumble together
Seem to be profitless
And bring no better food
To fill up the vacant mood
In our empty tummies.
(You wanted Eliot, uncle snipe.)

NICE Pucky Bear! :D Go for it!! The Woman needs to be taught a lesson. ;P
Update on Trub: Sorry folks . . . no FIP meds yet. :( :( :( But we’re still hopeful. At least he’s in pretty good form for being a very sick kitty. He’s jumping up 6 ft high to catch flies, and catches them, and eats them . . . ughhh. Best resident pest control ever! He’s eating well. He’s perked up since he came home from the vet’s. Maybe that’s all he needed—a thermometer shoved up his butt to remind him how good he has it. :P :P And he’s been playing with a red wand that has two blue streamers coming out of it. Rolling over to expose his belly a lot. He deals with the 35 ©/95 (F) degree weather better than we do. And just now he’s attacking those devious wires coming out of daddy’s computer monitor. I’d say that’s pretty good. ❤

Out to the fields and everywhere

This calls for drastic action!

Go tell it on the mountain

Meanwhile, Back on the Nile
At the Happy Healthy Hospital Pyramid Kitten Ward
Thomios: Hello, kitties! Today we’re having Make Your Own Pizza with all these different toppings.
Kitten Anhur: What are these blue berry things?
Thomios: Glad you asked! Those are blueberries. They make a tasty dessert and go great on a fruit pizza!
Kitten Sekhmet: And what about these shredded things? They look like carrots and other vegetables.
Ora Z: They are. I shredded them myself.
Sekhmet: Oh, then they must be okay. I was afraid they might be good for you.
Iggy: Well, you do need to eat things good for you. I needed to eat them so I could be strong when I went to sea.
Kitten Pakhet: Well, I guess we could try to make some pizzas. Can we use any of the toppings?
Thomios: Of course. We always like to try new things at the Royal Palace.
Ora Z: And then we can sing and dance with The Harvesters and Mallets Towards None!

Dear Go Comics,
