I was looking at a $5,000 fridge a while back. Just looking, mostly in bewilderment. It had an LCD screen on the front and network connectivity. I fully believe that soon the fridge will keep inventory and text you when you’re low or out of something, or an expiration date has been reached. In other words, a grocery list. Simple enough with bar codes. But then it gets Orwellian…. It will keep a calorie count, or, “You have consumed enough alcohol. This unit is locked.”
