As if loose change would make any difference. My kid got a $1000 “scholarship” from his college; it was like piddling in the ocean! (But it was appreciated; we certainly weren’t going to turn it down!)

“What are your chances of advancement in your job?”

“Excellent! They always have me advancing out in front!”

I often complain that I’d get a better return on my investments if I stuffed my money in the sofa and waited for the change to fall out of the guests’ pockets.
