For high school graduation, my class went to Disneyland. I was part of the group that experienced a breakdown on the “It’s a small world” ride. 10 or 15 minutes can truly seem an eternity when they keep playing that song over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over…

We were not allowed to flee, they kept us in the boats…

For once, Brew is right!

My late dad loved It’s A Small World at Disney World. He rode it ten or more times whenever we went there.

If they put sensors on the dolls and issued laser rifles, they could charge extra for that ride and make a fortune. Not that they don’t make a fortune already.

Its a world of torment

A world of pain

Its a world of songs

Stuck inside your brain

Its so much to endure

And its all pure torture

Its a maul, maul world

With very slight alteration, “Der Fuehrer’s Face” can be sung to “It’s a Small World.” That sometimes helps.

This reminds me of “Westworld”.

The worst Disneyland ride ever.

Bots coming to life, eh? Just like Wasteworld!

Ha! The girl doll has a busted off bottle! That cracked me up for some reason :P

“Getting that broken bottle stuck in my head wasn’t much fun, either…”

Barbarella disliked that ride, too.

Been there, done that, got that panic attack.

Further support for the idea sound could be used as a weapon. I generally think of my baby’s unhappy screech from way back when amplified but that tune might be nearly as distracting.

Darth Maul comes to mind.

I always thought it should be a sort of shooting gallery ride……

Of course, in Dr. Mel’s world, the song would be “Boris the Spider.”
