I love salads, of “all” kinds. But then, I love most vegetables, raw… or cooked. I make my own salads, and the ingredients are rarely the same from one time to another.
I also make my own dressings. No repeatable recipe, but just “throwing things together”.
Salads are great in hot weather. Again, it all depends on a generous application of good dressing. They’re my go-to supper in July and August. (Add a little cooked chicken for protein, or tofu or tempeh if you want to stay vegan.)

Thousand Island? French? Italian? A vinigrette?

It’s all about the dressing. It can even make kale and spinach taste good. Well, at least edible.

I do like some Roquefort. Especially if there are any bitter greens in the salad.
Or, i also like a big spoonful of any kind of seafood salad on top, no dressing needed.

Balsamic vinegar and olive oil, with spices and garlic.
