Mom’s sarcasm today may elicit additional discussion of her parental competence (or lack thereof). I like to picture her putting down her book and giving Calvin some affectionate, undivided attention in panel five – like the time when she was chasing him around the house and tickling him before bed.Thanks to many of you for your thoughtful comments yesterday on parenting. I’m very excited….

Sometimes i let my mind wander,Where it goes I cannot tell.It seems to travel on its own,And it’s taking me to………….heck if I know!.

If I was Calvin’s mind, I wouldn’t come back, either.

my mind takes frequent vacations and refuses to tell me where it went – all I know is it doesn’t do stuff when I want it to do – so much for the joys of aging….
