We are in the final week of Calvin and Hobbes, and today Bill Watterson seems to be giving some commentary relating to his decision to end the strip. He has reached the point where he has exhausted most of his ideas for the strip, and continuing to “crank out” a new strip every day with a high level of originality has become very hard work and very time consuming.
