A bed making robot would be more like a pulley system built into the headboard or something, but when you’re 6 every robot needs to have a head and body like from the movies.
Just ask around a college campus. First comes some half-baked idea, then comes the long beer-fueled brainstorming session (often conflated w/ step 1)… but nothing further will happen unless there’s a grant involved.

At 6, my kids could name and identify the simple machines, but only knew “they made you stronger” or “traded distance for strength”
