I miss Corduroy Pants

Corduroy… reminds me of that children’s book of teddy bear of the same name whose overalls are missing a button.

Rabbit ears? How old is this strip? I know they’re coming back in urban areas because cable and satellite providers are pricing themselves out of a lot of people’ budgets (free advice: try Roku), but still…

I can’t believe that no one has commented on the similarity between this cartoon from 1990 and today…

None of us can go out… visit friends… relations… cinemas… restaurants… etc… Everyone has been forced to become individual family units… sitting at home… watching TV… together…

At least today we have Netflix… Prime… etc. and I’ve a whole library of books I haven’t read yet or deserve a second reading…

WE actually had cable, In the 60’s and 70’s! No CNN or ESPN of course, but we got 12 channels, crystal clear. Even stations from NYC, WPIX and the Yankees, WOR and the Mets. never had Rabbit Ears or the ugly aerial tacked to the house.

I’ve got TWO pairs!!!! That I still wear…
