I have enough issues with reality as it is, I don’t want or need virtual reality…though sometimes I wish for a different reality…one where I’m younger, my knees and shoulders work as they are supposed to…etc…ad infinitum ad nauseam.
The great thing about imagination is that you can still see what’s going on in the real world. A 68-year-old friend of mine recently fell and suffered severe knee damage when a small child pushed him over while he was wearing a virtual reality helmet and playing a game with another child.
I’m afraid this will be the new “falling off the child’s skateboard” meme at the trauma center.
This is a comic from 1992. If you’ve been wondering how long people have been trying to make virtual reality into a successful product, here’s proof that the wait has been at least 30 years.

Who needs virtual reality when you have imagination?

That’s because it has “reality” in the name.

I used to pin an old blue towel around my neck, then run around the house jumping off of things. Accompanied by ‘’Superman!’’
If you take ’’superman’’, add a P and a space, it becomes ‘’supper man’‘. Now I’m hungry.
