Summer’s here and…

— You know the rest. And this year, I’m not going to be betting on how much heat, how much rain, how much wind… and how much fire.

Spring is Nature’s alarm clock for Summer’s awakening.

The weather in this strip is just like that in S. Florida yesterday.

Beautiful weather yesterday evening for a bonfire. High near 69°F. Me, wife, and daughter had the time of our lives (considering that we had a 3 foot Lake Effect event into Christmas morning fresh in our memories!) Roasting hot dogs and doing smores. 9 PM kicks around, and temp drops and wind picks up. We take shelter. That’s par for the course in April’s NY North Country.

Move to Phoenix, AZ Calvin. We only have two seasons…winter and summer.;-D

What was that about April? Oh, yes. It’s the cruelest month.

The entire month is April Fools’ Day…….

In the Northeast our Spring has turned to summer. The last several days have been over 80°. To me that’s way to hot for Spring. I’m already dreading the summer.

Skip Summer, go straight into Fall!!!

It’s snowing outside right now.

Face it. Cal is almost never satisfied.

It’ll be summer here for two more days (in the 80’s) then back to spring (in the 40’s) with the weekend and next week.

The year passes fast enough.

It has pretty much gone from spring to early summer already. It hit 88 degrees here and if you can believe what the weather prognosticators say, hit the 90’s by next week. I fear it will be a long and hot summer.

I love Spring… all the rain, a few storms, everything starts blooming again. Summer is just one long HOT !

The best thing, the ONLY best thing about Spring, is staying inside waiting for the Mosquitos to go away.

As we had 25 inches of rain yesterday, I concur.

We already have, 28°C in the Ottawa Valley today with a humidex of 31

Yesterday here it was 73* and nice. Today, 36* feels like 28* with North winds, possible rain.

I had that song in my head all one day last week. Nice song; they don’t make them like that any more.

The weather lately in Ireland!

It’s ironic that Calvin goes inside to read a comic book. When I was a kid about Calvin’s age, the best thing about a Spring wind was standing facing into it with my Superman cape on – it made me feel like I was flying!

Bad weather should always lead to comic books!

I love this time of year – no heating, no AC.

I thought six year olds love the change in the weather, specially the wind and the sunshine.

82 today…snow on Monday.

Is it just me or can anyone else actually hear that scream coming out of him in panel 3 that the wind is blocking. Just the look on his face lets you know he is letting out a huge scream, just as we would expect Calvin to do.
