I have a theory/headcanon that “Twinky” is actually Calvin’s surname, since I noticed it’s common for bullies in fiction to refer to their victims by their last name.
I’d like to think that it’s hard to be religious if your religion claims that there are such things as miracles (virgin births, people arising from the dead, a great worldwide flood, etc.). But the suckers continue to fall for it anyway.
I’m having flashbacks of my childhood. Thanks to the actor Tom Holland, I go to the gym many times a week, about a half century late. My first time hitting a punching bag gave me bruises. Now I punch bare knuckles. I can’t seem to lose weight anyway.
I remember a Sunday strip in which Calvin fantasized that he was a God. “But Calvin is no kind and loving God. He is one of the old gods and demands sacrifice.”
It turned out he was playing with building blocks. Dad reported to Mom, “He’s making worlds out there!” Mom replied, “I bet he grows up to be an architect.”
Calvin’s steenky school is really pathetic with incredibly incompetent staff. They is never investigate why little kids is gets beat up into a pulp by this goon kid and is never takes any action against the violent jerk too. Even Calvin’s parents is pathetic and they never bothers that their kid is comes beaten up black and blue from school and never even demand a explanation from steenky school too. But they all sure queeck in blaming and punishing Calvin for each and everytheengs he do. Because it builds character eh.
I love Watterson’s work, but I never liked Moe as a character. There’s too much bullying in real life, and schools – with their idiotic “zero tolerance” policies – generally punish victims more severely than abusers. Administrators pay lip service to school safety, but in reality they are turning their backs on the problem because all they care about is their standardized test scores.

Has Moe ever met Roselyn? If she thinks babysitting Calvin is bad, how would she deal with Moe?

But that’s one of the reasons why people invented God. If there is no Hell, guys like Moe will never be punished.

Moe needs a Glasgow Kiss. Right on the forehead.
TBO I found being bullied and defending yourself only resulted in a vicious circle.

Incidents with Moe are teaching Calvin toleration for bits of life he can’t handle. But also causes him to pass on the meanness to Susie and others.
