Cathy: If your one-inch muffin has 100 calories, then this four inch muffin must have 400 calories, Mom. Mom: Oh, no, Cathy. That one is granola-raisin. You can deduct 150 calories because it sounds healthy...Also, you can deduct 125 calories if you hate raisins but eat it anyway...and, of course, you can deduct the standard 89 calories if you don't actually lick every crumb off the paper..For a total of only 36 calories for that particular muffin! Cathy: More proof that the "family thigh problem" begins with the mouth.
Do muffins scale linearly??
