We know the apocalypse is nigh. In 2008, the losingest team in professional sports (not the Cubs, they aren’t even close to the over 10,000 losses amassed by the Phillies) won the World Series. In the 2009 NFL season, my hapless (no more) New Orleans Saints won the Super Bowl. In the 2009-2010 NHL season, the numbers 7 and 8 seeds are battling it out for the Eastern Conference Championship and the right to compete for Lord Stanley’s Cup. Do we need any more signs than those?
