We know the apocalypse is nigh. In 2008, the losingest team in professional sports (not the Cubs, they aren’t even close to the over 10,000 losses amassed by the Phillies) won the World Series. In the 2009 NFL season, my hapless (no more) New Orleans Saints won the Super Bowl. In the 2009-2010 NHL season, the numbers 7 and 8 seeds are battling it out for the Eastern Conference Championship and the right to compete for Lord Stanley’s Cup. Do we need any more signs than those?

Hang in there, Donna! Maybe you shouldn’t be reading the news on your MacBook; it’s always depressing (‘cause that’s what sells).

It’s the end of the world as we know it, and I feel fine!

If the Cubs win the Series, fritzoid, the Lions will win the Super Bowl. Or at least get there.

If the Cubs win the Series, I’ll dance naked throughout my house! It’s been a long life for us Cubs fans…..
