It’s only Monday, Fritz. Just remember all those times it was supposed to be on “Candorville”, “Peanuts”, “Liberty Meadows”, or anything ever created by Rumiko Takahashi. Also remember what happened to “Cathy” when it finally did happen. Lucas will say something out loud he was supposed to be thinking, Mona gets all huffy and things take a step back. Unlike the other examples I posted earlier, this pairing looks like destiny since the curtain was pulled back.
Oh,\ _O__/, I know it’ll take time, but it’s (nearly) inevitable. These two were made for each other. I don’t mind “Two steps forward, one step back,” and if they get together too quick it’ll take a lot of the fun out of it. But I’m glad to see that, even if it’s only for the moment, the ball appears to be moving forward.
(And of course, there’s always the possibility that Jen will send the whole strip on an abrupt left turn, even if it’s only to confound expectations. I know it’s perhaps foolish to make predictions about events that are completely within the control of another individual.)
