After the Uvalde shooting, Sen. Ted Cruz argued that the problem isn’t that there are too many guns out there, it’s that schools have too many doors — more specifically, more than one door…. “one door that goes in and out of the school”….so simple
A few of these I agree with: “Guns don’t kill people, people kill people.” This is true, guns are only a tool. But it doesn’t change the fact people with wicked intentions have easy access to purchase said tool whose sole purpose is the ending of a life in a painful way. “But mental health…” I suffer from Depression. I don’t want a gun for this purpose. My meds work just fine, but I fear one day that they might now and I might want to see what the other side is like for sure. I’d rather avoid that scenario. So it’s not hard for me to imagine what people with other mental illnesses may be thinking with a gun in hand. The reality is some people should just not be armed. “Bad guys don’t obey gun laws.” Also true and I agree. But what these knuckleheads miss the boat on is we need laws to make it tougher for them to have access. It’s not like the movies (which I swear to god the NRA makes their claims on…) where guns are easier access to criminals. No, they are not. Ports and customs do NOT mess around. The days of going to the docks to get an AK-47 from a smuggler have gone with the wind back in the 1980’s. Anyone who believes otherwise is just a paranoid nut looking for any excuse.
The din of all those voices is overwhelmed by the sound of all the sobbing and knees knocking of the Dems who detest weapons. There are gun nuts and then nuts with guns. Enforce the laws already on the books, lock up repeat criminals who use guns, and reopen our mental institutions and protect we sane from the insane.
How, without raising taxes, do we enforce the previously unenforced gun regulations [especially] in areas where legislators frequently ignore the pragmatic will of the public and follow party ideology instead?
There is no proposed gun ban. Limits on the automtic (killing machines) are reasonable. Enforced background checks is reasonable. The NRA is a sick joke and a shadow of it’s former self.
Mental illness should disqualify people from owning guns. But then, there’s a pretty good argument for questioning the sanity of anyone who thinks they’re making themselves or their community safer with their AR-15s.
once again, japan is a safe country with sane gun laws and we can use more people since our population is aging fast. our right-leaning politicians are against immigrants, just like in the u.s., but visas are pretty easy to obtain and most japanese are accommodating as long as you don’t pour soy sauce on your rice. if you get tired of being a walking target, come on down…
Jones continues to focus on the concept that only republicans are pro gun, when in fact gun ownership is worldwide and non-partisan. And Jones obviously does not respect any republican period, regardless the issue, or their lifestyle, based on his toons. His toons are entertaining though but not that much thought provoking when they cannot be taken seriously.
MJ says guns don’t kill, hearts do. He told us to pick up the Bible to know his view on anything. Obviously, he means the Old Testament & a jealous god… not Jesus, the loving philosopher.
The NRA lost operating income of ($36M) through November 2022 which is roughly $3.3M/month. This continuing profit loss through 2023 will drain the tank on remaining cash reserves. Running out of cash in 5.3 months just happens to coincide with April 10, 2023— Firearms News
The GOP might be the pro fetus party but they sure ain’t the pro life party. The second amendment is an excuse to allow the continued slaughter of Americans. We have more murders with guns per capita than any other Country
Just a note. One of the first things the Nazis did was REMOVE Weimar era gun control laws. Party members were exempt from most remaining gun control laws

Is Russian money still being funnelled into the NRA’s bribery funds? It should be an easy one for the FBI’s forensic accountants to find.

Bad guys DON’T obey gun laws. They get that one right.
If “cars kill more people,” how is it that “guns don’t kill people?” They get that one flat out wrong. Because both cars and guns are artifacts.

If this is a Russian plot it is pure genius. Make sure all the gun nuts have bumper stocks and hi-powered weapons and watch them kill ourselves.
