When I was a kid, MANY kids (but not me!) would do what was called “sticking horns”. This was in the 60s and 70s, and they would go out at night (starting around October first) and look for a car sitting innocently in a driveway. Then they would use a stick to wedge it in the steering wheel so the horn would stay on, blaring loudly. Often you could hear four of five car horns going off around town. Locking the door to the car was an extra special “Take that!” from the horn-stickers. At the bus stop the next morning, the pranksters would boast about how many horns they had “stuck”. Ah, that fond memory of childhood!
