Man 1: love the sword aunt ruth!!

man 2: yeah
CC: Christmas present?
man 1: yeah, gotta let her see me use it once, you know?
Morning Crew,
RIGHT ON ALLAN!!!!
I would take a sword….a dull, rusty sword….a dull, rusty sword without a hilt before I would let a morsel of FRUITCAKE pass my lips! LOL!!!
A frosty good day to you all!
I’m struggling with this now. I got one present for my birthday, and I’m not sure I like it or will ever use it, but it’s from my best friend and she’ll most likely come visit one day. Normally I’d exchange it, but I don’t want to hurt her feelings so I’ll probably keep it.
I always buy the same style of socks, in black. That way, I never have to worry about matching them up. (Besides, I always wear boots, so nobody ever sees my ankles.)
My girlfriend, when she found this out, asked me what I would do if she gave me a nice pair of Argyles, as a gift. Would I wear them? No, I told her, I would have them framed, so that I could look at them every morning and be reminded of her thoughtfulness.
That’s why I now have Argyle socks under glass, hanging in my bedroom.
Of course, it’s easy to display rather than use an unwished-for gift when it’s small, soft, and flat. If she presents me with a casserole that I don’t care to eat, I can’t use the same dodge. I’m just glad I said “framed” rather than “bronzed” when the subject first came up…

Oh, I hate those gifts! The ones you pretend to like (like the spider catch/release thing I got) but you just wanna toss out.
It’s kind of like Fruit Cake … you just regift it to someone else. haha
HAVE A GREAT DAY MY MATEYS!

“Weird” is my byword.
Also in the frame are some coasters from the Argyle pub in Sydney, which we visited together. It all looks very nice.

“Sentimental” is another byword.
