Wow, they’re livin’ large — they’re staying in a place that doesn’t bolt the telly down to the dresser!

I’m with Burl and the AFLAC goose. Of course, in full disclosure, on my birthday after everyone went home—thank God!—I put almost a half gallon of ice cream and an apple pie down the disposer.

Mikie…. cos you couldn’t find the “off” button?

I know it’s hard to stop…. but I don’t think I could do that. Give it to a neighbor, maybe….but not till after one little piece for breakfast….

and you know…. I should save just one more for after dinner…. or for breakfast tomorrow…

Anyhow…. Ma gets her own room??!I thought they were so cheap that they got one room, and probably Ma, Marlene, Dale, Verl and Jerry all sneaked in later.

The older five don’t do anything that requires privacy anyway….and their presence gives Jerry a great excuse for why there’s no action there either.

Of course, he doesn’t have that excuse at home…but he’ll think of something.

Maybe she knows they watch tv till they fall asleep. Then it is on all night. Ma isn’t quite as stupid as they think…… You think?

Poor Burl can’t understand not being able to sleep with the tv on and as upset as Joy is, Ma must get free cable -the real reason for the visit.

I can’t sleep with the TV on either. Almost every roommate I ever had would keep the idiot box on 24/7.

Cheap as they are, they’ll always spring for a separate room for Ma. When she lies down, she begins lettin’ ’em rip non-stop. The motel will have to repaint the walls.

I thought Motel 6 bolts down the TV, this must be another cheap generic motel. We were wondering how the Penny’s funded this trip, now we know: Ma paid for it!

The TV may have been bolted down but she asked to have it removed…I’ve seen them with padlocks so the staff CAN undo them, but not the guests.(calling the Penny’s “guests” is a stretch…. they’re more like “invaders.”)And right, Ma’s residence doesn’t have a posted check-out time.

I had to finally convince my lover that I neither need nor want a light from TV or other when it is time for sleep. My eyes adapt just fine to find the bathroom during the night (or anything else). I sleep best in total darkness and silence ;-)
