Smokey The Bear is like saying Mickey The Mouse. Only Pete would say that.

As one who watched the first “Only You Can Prevent Forest Fires” ads in the ‘50s, I submit that it is “Smokey THE Bear”!! The commercial sang: "Smokey the Bear, Smokey the Bear..prowlin’ and a’growlin’ and a’sniffin’ the air; He can smell a fire before it starts to flame… that’s why they call him Smokey, that is how he got his name."

Or perhaps this age of historical enlightenment and political correctness we should also rename “Attila Hun” and “Jack Ripper”.

True story.. I have a female friend who, no matter what she cooks, will set the smoke alarm off. It has become a running joke. It never happens to me when I’m in the kitchen.I have my theory but I remain silent.

Funniest comments I’ve seen in a loooong time! Seems quite a few people have had a Roz’s cooking experience! What would he draw if a pressure cooker exploded? Happened to my aunt. She ran right through a locked screen door it scared her so much!
