i had no idea Rose was such an IN-trovert!

Not sure not wanting to socialize with the neighbors qualifies as a milquetoast. Maybe they’re jerks.

I did not know Rose is part hedgehog, they do that when confronted.

There could be many reasons she does not want an invite. Tho she and Jimbo are not newly together they sometimes act that way as much as we, or as cookienut suggests, she could have taken a dislike, or she could simply have too much on her calendar already, or she could expect something like Amway or sales of something else she will be obliged to buy.

Wish I could do that armadillo move!

She just needs to say “I’ll check with Jimbo and I’ll get back to you” then don’t. Though sometimes you have to play neighbor just for piece’s sake.

Vicki only comes out to play when it isn’t an invite like this, as when dealing with reluctant store clerks who don’t want to search for the rattlesnake meat, or when dreaming of better things. Rose herself doesn’t mind company, but she doesn’t care for certain kinds of invitations.

Is Rose suddenly a pill bug?

So often these neighbor invites are to a Tupperware or Pampered Chef type of get together where your check book is the most welcome of the guests. We were invited to a friend’s house recently and it was a political meeting trying to convince us to vote in a particular way. Hate being blind sided by an “agenda” when you think they just like spending time with you.

Rosie gets nervous at parties.

I just caught up on some of the comics today and really enjoyed the morning theme.
