Or – driver’s license, debit card, a $20 bill &a few quarters.. Then, put that tiny purse in a pocket and leave the monster purse at home.

I’ve never been able to figure out how men survive without purses…. or a couple of my female friends, either, who don’t carry one.

What I really hated is when the (very ex) boyfriend would ever-so-smugly remind me that HE carried nothing but his driver’s license, debit card, house key, some money, and the only key to his car (NO wallet, NO key chain!) …. but then say “Will you put this ___ (pen, notebook, M&Ms etc) in your purse for me?”

    Sorry…. NO.

Coming from a family of five boys, exploring femaledom was an adventure on a par with that of Shackleton or Amundsen, and one fraught with as much danger! Scholarly research informed me that tiny purse contents—as Ellisaana says—were ID, lipstick, a hanky, cab fare, pay phone coins and a comb, plus other more personal items depending on the time of the month and/or expectations for later in the evening. All in a purse the size of a Hershey bar.Now here in TX there might also be a “Lady Smith!”

M@Ms yea don’t forget them. I’m surprised she doesn’t have a Ho Ho in one. Where are they going any way, all-dressed up like that. No where important I don’t think.

If Burls jacket has “tails” behind it I’d say he’s got apart-time job as a Maitr’e De at the Sirloin Stampede (where brown tweed would be acceptable). If it’s not a tux, then some 8th grader is missing a jacket and tie. The pants are probably too short also but I doubt that the waist is…..unless Burl slit the side of the pants and is covering it up with the jacket.

Another day with a boring “circle” backgrond…. and no detail to tell us what is up….. For instance a coffin would let us know that @reiverhawk is correct…. It’s a wake… But the dress colors are wrong for that…. Perhaps church… ? ! ? Naaaaa… A bus in the background wouds have usall guessing…..! ! ! BURl looks like a little kid…. Perhaps a grade school reunion….

@SusanSunshineWhat we guys do, is carry a manly backpack, like a real hiker would have. Inside we have a couple of Snickers, extra undies, some moistened uh-oh wipes, gym shorts and then on top, we place a plug of Day’s Work chawin terbakkey, just in case another dude takes a peek inside.

With those two, it’s not M&M’s. It’s the key to the M&M’s walk-in locker. There are, however, some peculiarly colored jelly beans she stole from the self-serve display at the grocery. She discovered she didn’t like them, but keeps them because they’re hers. Two folded up scratch and sniff perfume ads. A expired coupon for 20-cents off a pound and a half bag of Funyons.

If they are going to a wedding and/or banquet, a plastic gallon size bag for leftovers,( or ‘laters’) is the most important thing in there! I’m surprised anyone would invite them to a wedding tho, I mean who needs another salt n pepper set from the Dollar Dump?

@deno, I had to google tagamet. I DOES fit these folks. I am opposed to ALL meds but recently started taking 5 mg of Lisinopril for my high BP. I do not like taking any but while at a dr visit she repeatededly got over 200/100 and if I had not insisted that I felt fine, would have sent me to ER.

I’m sure Too old to read is right about the bag for leftovers. No matter what occaision this happens to be, the Penny’s would not miss that oportunity.

I’m surprised that Julie did not take this one into the future with those tiny hats now called “fascinators”. I wore small hats as late as the 60s and hats are always a good way to hide a bad hair day ;-)

My S&W was not a lady, but a 38 special (much better for good aim) and my lover was the one who took me to target practice when we were having trouble with my x stalking me.
