I went back three years (in my Gocomics time machine) and then read up to Oct 17, 2009.-Still extremely funny as she prepared to join varsity Horticulture, feed moldy bread to ducks, write a mixed column.-It was interesting to read my beloved Susan N bad-mouthing my beloved Agnes and my beloved Trout even back then.-A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of small minds. Not that it is foolish, just thinking about being consistent.
my grade school principal was as short and round as his good friend the school district superintedent was tall, lean, cavernous. Both loved their jobs and children. I think of Agnes’ principal as being like mine was. Willing to spend entire afternoons with a student even if he didn’t want to.
