That’s um, a rather cold bath, Lizzie! Quick Elly grab the camera! Someday when she’s a teenager and misbehaving you can threaten to upload this to you tube!
Yeah, I would definitely take a photo first, and then have her clean it up. If a toddler is quiet for longer than 3 minutes, definitely check up on them.
it is clear that this woman is demented and is unwilling or unable to care for her children.
the royal canadian child services have been informed and will be taking her children and placing them in a foster home. then she will have all the time she needs to ‘find herself’ and her husband will have more time to play choo-choo
It serves Elly right for leaving a two year old in a dangerous room, by herself. I hope that picking up the mess Lizzie made is pure torture for Ellie. Maybe she will THINK next time before she does something stupid.
Well by golly, nighthawks…if you had your way every home would have a surveylience camera in every room wired directly to the Canadian Ghestappo. Way to go!
@mrslukeskywalker, I left this message for you rather late yesterday, so I am repeating it in case you didn’t see it:
“@mrslukeskywalker, I too offer my condolences, without sarcasm.
I don’t know whether a Sun Conure is the same as a Golden Conure, but there’s a wonderful website that has some photos of a very young Golden - so young its feathers don’t all seem to have grown in yet. zooborns.com specializes in photos of baby animals that have (just) been born in zoos, and each one is cuter than the last!
To see the Golden Conure, you have to click on owls in the list that runs down the left side of the screen. They don’t have an entry for Conures, but the site with a baby owl also has the baby Golden.
I hope this will give you some comfort. The bird in the picture looks like it’s smiling - as tho it’s delighted to be alive! Your bird must have been very easy to love!”
I have to agree w/ the criticism here, you do not leave a child that young in a bathtub by themselves, what if she slipped when she stood up, knocked herself unconcious, and landed face down in the water? From the extent of the mess, that baby would have been long gone by the time her mother got back.
Lizzie has a toothbrush in her hand. Do you think that’s what Ellie thought she was doing? Still, toddlers don’t brush their teeth alone very well either. And they use a pottie, not the toilet at that age.
Thank you very much for your kind messages Susan, Macushlalondra,Rina, and Burgundy 2. I was just reading them now. I appreciate that you were so kind.
This is her little brother. He keeps looking for her even though he saw me put her in the beautiful casket I made her, and he doesn’t see it here anymore. He kissed it goodbye yeterday morning. I buried her at the house I grew up in in my mother’s fairy garden. SHe has many gardens. It was 20 degrees! He keeps wanting to go in her cage and then he gets freaked and runs out. I explained it all to him, but …. He’s watching TV now.
Thanks again. I truly appreciate your kindness and your time in reposting to me today.
Mrs. Luke, I too have recently lost a pet cat I had for 12 years. It was just her and I and she was always there for me during all my cancer surgeries (4) and would hold my hand in her paws at night in bed. I understand your loss.
God bless, your birds are beautiful.
mrslukeskywalker, I’m so sorry about your bird and kittylover2 about your cat! I just lost my kitty that I had for 15 1/2 years last week. I had her since just before my 14th birthday. As a fellow grieving pet owner, you both have my sympathy. I’m glad you posted the pictures, what beautiful birds. I don’t know much about parrots, but even if 11 years was a short life span for her species, it was still a considerable length of time and the fact that she spent it happy and healthy speaks well of you. And kittylover2, 12 years is a very good life for a cat and I’m so glad you had a kitty nurse while you were sick. My mom had cancer and when she got home from the hospital my kitty didn’t leave her side for months. It’s the hardest part of being a pet owner but I wouldn’t trade a moment of the last 15 years for anything. My best to all of you. ~~K
PS. That’s what Eli gets for leaving her alone in there!
Thank you EVERYBODY! I am sorry about your losses too. I still mourn for my dogs that passed away many years ago. It never goes away. I feel for all of you too.
And Elly is the culprit again – can’t ever do anything right can she? Gee nobody got down on Connie 2 days ago for falling in love with the pipe the kids were smoking instead of reprimanding them. Kids get into mischief, parents yell sometimes. As a former Children’s Protective Services worker, this is what we spent all our time chasing down – instead of the kids that were really being beaten up, starved, or worse. Get real folks!!
Just discovered this site and this comic strip.
So Lizzie is 2yrs old and wants to be a Big Girl, learning to be independant and seek privacy to do her personal business! Mummy, rightly so, gives her that and stands outside on tenderhooks!!!!!!!!! and mayhem with toothbrush ensues,Love it.LOL

I have learned, by working with the kids at my church, if a child under 6 is quiet for more then 1 minute, you check in on them … dun dun duah!

Children are eager to do things by themselves. You have to find the right balance between hovering every two seconds and total neglect.

Elly, don’t pull your hair out of your head after you saw Lizzie in the toilet bowl.
This is so hilariously funny!

Joe, Ontario is not the North Pole. In southern Ontario the weather is no different than in Michigan and it can get hot in the summer.
