Rory kept a nice low profile on the way down which certainly helped boost their speed, which was seriously compromised by the fact that Stan didn’t keep his tail straight.
I guess when Old Joe Doty rambled on about crawling out of the water to get away from his predetators he for got that he wasn’t made to speak about so many things that did not include him or his relatives on their hind legs.
Considering that Stan says “Oops” in panel 2, “Uh-oh” in panel 3, and “Oh no” in panel 4, I’d assume that Stan didn’t exactly choose the manner in which he was heading downhill. Therefore it matters not how his back is curved.
