Penmanship doesn’t matter when you’re defacing someone else’s property.

I believe that was Grandma’s point. The person doing the deed had obviously gotten a decent education in school and therefore should have known better.

Penmanship doesn’t mean anything. You could have great pensmanship and still be a lousy student in a lousy school.

They don’t even teach penmanship in school anymore. I’m having to teach my son cursive writing myself.

I have seen soom impressive cursive writing by teenagers puts mine to shame, but I was never taught that I know of how to write properly. I’m not sure of my kids, now adults.

I am so glad to be doing reinactmants of ancient times with calligraphy and illumination. We lose many children of members in their teens, but they often return to the game when they are a little older (teens just have to be “cool”) but it is the teen boys who sometimes stay in the game because the fighting is SO like “extreme” sports, but regulated o be safe.
