Laura: I have to say, Adam, you did a great job with the block party. Adam: Ahh, thanks. Yep, it sure was fun. So fun we should do it again. Laura: Oh, Adam. What did you do? Adam: I couldn't help it...the heat of the moment, combined with the heat from the grill. Laura: Superbowl? Adam: Well, yes. New Year's and then Superbowl...but Halloween and Thanksgiving before those.

As long as he’s willing to do all the work himself along with the clean up, I’d simply get out of the way and let him do it.

If his passion is grilling, let him open his own BBQ place. Call it “Adam’s Ribs”.

She’s going to get out of his way and let him do all of it, including cleanup, whether he’s willing or not!

I’ve grilled turkeys lots of times - you just use indirect heat on the sides and cook it low and slow. Delicious smoky flavor!

I understand the overall joke but seems to me like there’s a whole panel or two missing.

vawser: Yes, barbecued turkey (and smoke chips added). Life doesn’t get much better than that - well, maybe add a cold beer while you’re cooking. For BBQ, I’ve found that smaller turkeys are better, cook more evenly. If you have more people, two small ones are preferable to one large one and can be cooked at the same time if your grill is large enough (mine is). Try it sometime, Susan.

Or get a turkey smoker, tender and delicious!

A place where barbecuing is illegal? OMG, H*ell on earth! Well, I barbecued a New York strip in your honor last night, Susan, and it was great. You’re welcome, no need to get all gushy.
(No, I understand - out here on the Left Coast, we have “Spare the Air Days” laws in some areas - things aren’t as congested as in NYC, of course.)
