First comment? Wow! This reminds me of Peter Fox’s attempts to keep the last leaf from falling off the trees so that he wouldn’t have to rake them all up, and risk Jason jumping into all of the piles and messing it all up again.

The bird lief would let the leaf leave if he didn’t have to fly south when it fell in the Fall.
