If Sparkle happens to mention to Gertie about meeting someone named Measles. They will all be worrying!

Personally, the last thing I want is seeing Tracy in those flying cars that looked like buckets with crutches in them; Fletcher and Collins blew up Moon Maid for a reason, to end the Moon stories forever; and I think it should have stayed that way. Bringing back Mysta is a mistake…even if she’s a fraud.

Junior’s reveal will help involve Tracy in the rescue that Measles soon will make necessary. I do hope that Honeymoon doesn’t get mixed up in this nasty business, but she does have a propensity for helping Pop Pop in his line of work…. As for “Moon Maid,” we shall see what we shall see.

Moon Maid is never a mistake.

And for you youngsters in the audience, that thing Tracy is holding is called a “newspaper.” They can actually be delivered right to your doorstep early in the mornings so when you wake up, you can “read” them. Many, like Tracy, like to enjoy a cup of coffee while reading them. Kids, try it sometime! It’s both fun and informative!

This “moon maid” seems to have real enough powers. If she’s fake, she’s a real good one. Right now, the main issue is going to be trying to keep Measles from getting killed while he tries (unsuccessfully) to kill Gravel Gertie. It’s not safe to poke around her house, you know.

Honey must really like toast, I see she is munching a piece, and the levers are both down on the toaster. Junior must have a healthy raspberry jam bill every month.

badger, maybe tracy and junior are waiting for their toast while honeymoon watches tv before school. my question is this…both tracy and junior have their own homes, so why is tracy staying at juniors? to help watch honeymoon while sparkle is away? that would make sense except it leaves tess all by herself with joe. (btw, we havent seen tess since tracy was taken away in the ambulance by stiletta and we havent seen joe since phishface was apprehended) one last thing… WHERE’S BONNIE BRAIDS AND B.U. TIFFIL!?!?!? (oh yeah, mike said on the yahoo group that he had been researching dr zy ghote… for those of you who dont know who he is, he’s a crooked doctor who’s specialty is CLONING! take from that what you will lol)

But it is the colorist’s fault…in the second panel there’s hair color on Junior’s sides where it should be skin color as in panel three…

You said: “Please don’t blame this on the colorist”It may not be ALL a coloring error, but the colorist contributed to the problem. Panel 2, Jr. has hair color at the sides of his head, Panel 3, he has white-walls.

OK, some don’t want to see the “flying trash cans”, but how about those 2-man, enclosed air cars that Diet Smith whipped-up in the 70’s (after the moon period) — those, IMO, were pretty much in line with Tracy’s 2-Way…

I consider the “Moon Era” to represent some of Gould’s very best work. The audacity and creativity of shifting Tracy to a world very similar to our own, yet with marvelous alterations, infused the strip with a fresh jolt of fantastic possibilities. That said, while I started reading DT in 1966 (around the time Ugly Christine went down the smoke stack), I secured a copy of The Celebrated Cases of Dick Tracy upon its release. I loved the older strips, and the marked development of Gould’s artistic and storytelling prowess. While I embrace the “Moon Era” (and applaud Team Tracy for their own bold endeavors in resurrecting the best of Gould’s legacy), my own disappointment with Gould’s 60s strips stems from his intolerance of the Miranda decision and the rights of the accused in general. It is this intolerance, rather than the su generis Moon Maid, that mars some of the 1960s work.

Just started this strip am I going to enjoy it.

Someone else has probably noted this, but is Measles Junior’s evil twin?

Mysta — a MISTAKE!?!?Her comeback is the most exciting thing that’s happened in this strip since the Curtis-Staton team took over. Every time Mysta appears, the volume of comments (most of which are favorable) goes through the roof! That should tell you something. The truth is we can’t get enough of her!

It’s curious that Junior calls Dick Tracy “Tracy” instead of calling him “Dad.”

By the way, did someone ask for a Moon Maid sighting?

As I read today’s strip it occured to me that the " mood" it created in the uncertainties of the current Moon Maid sitings . . .SIMPLY made it a Classic !That’s the warm POSITIVE that hit me !Wasn’t searching for a GoComics colorist’s mistake on the side of Junior’s head to Kick the Strip in the Shins !If one had given Locher’s work that depth of scrutiny, we would have wondered WHY his Junior Tracy always kept looking OFF MODEL - - and like someone else ?

My objection isn’t to Moon Maid or the space era PER SE; but simply that DT should be a believable series about Police work, not science fiction… Either way, it’s nice to get a discussion going. :)
