There really IS a rainbow painted on that tunnel…northbound anyway, heading out of The City…so it’s sometimes called “The Rainbow Tunnel.”
They’re headed south, though…. about to cross the Golden Gate Bridge into San Francisco….and into 1967….
Dorothy makes a really hot hippie
So much for Jane’s dream of getting “rich” selling coffee.
Ooo time transport, groovy!
: ) Uncle Otis seems way less ghostly too!
What was subtle but neat was that even though the movie flipped to color (which was almost brand new back then) the aunt’s house remained in black and white whenever you saw it.
Ah – now we see why Paige went temporarily to black & white. They’re not in Kansas… well, OK, they’re not in 2012 anymore…
And as chireef pointed out, the allusion to “Over the Rainbow…”
Well done on so many levels, Paige!
All that just for a new color ink cartridge???
oh and Jane could have the coffee s and sell some while on this trip – possible side jokes abound with the coffee and meeting people along the way too
Brilliant! get it? color, smart, brilliant!
Hey, the strip actually got interesting again.
Yeah, where are they coming from? Sebastopol? Healdsburg?
