Feasting every night would make them fat and lazy. They need to be in fighting shape for Ragnarok (the final battle against Loki’s forces), so in the morning, when they’re grumpy and hung over, a fight will break out. This will turn into an all-day brawl. When the last Viking is left, the others re-attach their severed body parts, they make peace and feast again.

You really don´t get what role Loke has in all of that when you define it as his forces – or did you read too much Marvel? Yes, he will eventually be the cataclyst but in no way is the jotuns his forces.
