Far as I can tell Ink Pen has always been in color on here. The strip started November 7, 2005, if you go through the archives back to that date it’s Bixby and Fritz both in color. In the daily papers it obviously wasn’t in color, but on here ever strip is in color. Also Bixby and the wolf only look marginally alike, but Bixby is fatter with slouched forehead causeing squinting eyes nearly all the time (though sometimes we may see his eyes when excited or shocked), a long, thin tail, and legs that are more on the sides of his belly and massive clown feet. The wolf has a high forehead which allows us to see his eyes, fangs out of his mouth, long thin legs below his waist, short feet, and a bushy tail. Now where their similar is the same basic head shape with the same shape and size ears and a shaggy body.

I don’t think that’s supposed to be Bixby…color is wrong, eyes are wrong, tail is wrong. That looks more like a generic dog.
