There has always been the cartoon physics question of “What part of the universe goes dark when the hero uses superhuman powers?”

Never good when a hero carries a spare radial tire in his utility belt – and he’s not wearing one. Apologies to the late, beloved Adam West – you may not have been Charles Atlas, and you may have gotten coffee stains on your bat-suit from time to time, but you will always be MY Batman.

Jealous.

There was an old Garfield strip. Jon said ‘Garfield, you’re in terrible shape’. Next panel had Garfield striking a pose & looking like Arnie did in his prime. Jon’s eyes are bugged out & his jaw is hanging down. Last panel- Garfield’s comment ‘Did you know you could flex fat?’.
