Tracy probably didn’t notice that Honeymoon wasn’t wearing it when they had their chat on 10/24 & 10/25. On 10/25 we can see her bare left wrist as she touches Pop-Pops sleeve. But, I don’t understand why Sparkle didn’t make the call?
It’s practically Nascar! Measles hustling with his navigation device (what year is it, strip-time, anyway?); Tracy responding to GG’s Wrist Wizard call and pushing the 4th Wall with a joke that echoes what some comments have said in the last few days! And in the midst of it all, Gertie gets her axe! —Who will finish (or be finished!) first?
Measles had better hope Tracy gets there quickly, or he’s not long for this world.Special note: In real life, there have been incidents where the bad guy was glad the police showed up— to protect him from his victim, who was beating the living daylights out of him.
I’ve always enjoyed the powerful females in this strip who know how to take care of themselves when bad men are around: Mysta, Lizz, Honeymoon, Lee, Tess . . . . . . and GERTIE! :D
Love the classic Tracy pose. Gertie’s kept fit out there on the Acres. Back in the day, Abraham Lincoln could hold an axe steady at the end of the handle, keeping it parallel to the ground. No small feat.
Measles making good use of his Garmin. Except that I don’t think he’d be in such an all fired hurry to get to Sunny Dell Acres if he knew what was waiting for him.
@Pequod77, I’m missing your poetry, dude. No worries, but I think we need another appearance by the Blonde Bombshell in Boots to inspire you.
Is it me or is Measles not wearing the shoulder belt properly? It’s supposed to automatically move back behind the user. Has he somehow managed to break it?
Joe and Mike are at they’re best today!Measles and Tracy both racing to Gertie (with Joe’s excellent action-filled layout!)All three with high tech gear – but Gertie reaching for the lowest-tech weapon at hand! And Mike’s joke reflecting comments made here!Reuben! Reuben!
For some reason or another, the second panel made me think back of the old UPA DT cartoon shorts of the early 1960’s, where he empolyed some cartoonish partners…
Au contraire, mon frère! There is no extra finger on Measles’ right hand in panel 1. What looks like an extra digit at the bottom (as if an extra “pinky”) is actually the palm-side of his hand, seen in perspective. A little shading would have made that clearer; a palm wrinkle-line looks unfortunately similar to a finger joint-wrinkle.

You’ll be glad she has it, Tracy.

If Measles is driving east at 80 MPH, and Tracy is driving west at 65 MPH, how soon will they suddenly encounter each other? (Show your work!)

Are they in the midst of Sandy? Looks stormy.

Once again Team Tracy throws in a little humor in the middle of a tense situation. Nice!

As much as I love Joe Staton’s art, Gertie’s head in the middle panel is way too big!

Good morning all…
Made it through the hurricane with no damage or loss of power (so far). I’m staying at my daughter’s house for the duration of the storm.

Did Measles grow an extra finger on his right hand in panel one? A tribute to Mr. Locher? ;-)
