I had a cat that used to do that. Would jump up and run at top speed through the upstairs, down the stairs, circle the living room, and BAM!! Head first, right into the door. Thing is, it didn’t have a window at the bottom so I don’t know where the cat thought he was going, but he sure was going there in a hurry.
When one of my dogs was very young, she saw out next door neighbor walk out into her backard. Since this was a favorite neighbor, Muffin went running to say “hello.” That’s when she found out about chain link fencing.
I’ll never forget the day my parents and family friends finished putting up my chain-link fence in my new-old house’s yard. My dog, not quite a year old and new to fences, thought she’d get to run free for awhile. She saw a bird, and…. Well, she’s never tried to jump the fence, I’ll say that. I’m pretty sure that PT-TANNNNNNNNNNNNG sound scared her off from that temptation. Oh, she looked so bewildered to find herself thrown backwards! She was fine, and I laughed until I peed my pants.

Perfectly drawn sequence of the dog, especially the bonking part!

Yep, clean window + dog = dirty window quickly… Seen it more than once… (Not ALWAYS with a bonk, but it doesn’t help…)
